9 ways to invite Abundance & Good Qi into your home today

Yesterday’s post on figuring out your House # generated great conversation, so I want to follow up with some more Feng Shui tips to help you invite good Qi , abundance & prosperity into your home.

Front door- I talk about it ALL the time, and with good reason – the Front door is how you welcome in fresh energy & abundance into your home. In Feng Shui they represent new opportunities, your voice and communication.

If your home or entry is feeling stagnant, try ONE or ALL of these tips to get the good chi moving!

1. Make sure your entry is clean, tidy, well lit and well maintained. Make sure there are no obstacles on the way to your front door. If the door or hardware sticks, it could literally translate into feeling stuck in your life.

2. Paint! If your front door is looking a little sad, nothing brings it back to life like a fresh coat of paint. If you want to REALLY enhance the auspiciousness of your front door, paint it a color that corresponds with the direction it is facing. MAKE SURE THE DOOR COLOR WORKS WITH THE OVERALL LOOK OF THE HOME! Here are some suggestions:

• North (Water Element)- Black, dark blue

• South (Fire Element)- Red, Purple, Orange, Yellow

• East (Wood Element)- Green, Earth tones, Wood tones

• West – (Metal Element)- Grey, White

3. Add new hardware or a new address plaque.

4. Add a new doormat.

5. Add a set of Fu dogs.

6. Add fresh plants or flowers.

7. Check your light fixtures. Do they work? Do they give off good light? If not, now is the time to give them some love too.

8. If you are able to, add a water feature directly in line with the door.

9. Clean windows.

Remember my Elements in Balance approach – use all 5 elements to create a harmonious entry and then give GRATITUDE to your home for all it does for you!
